For our Global Giveback Event, our chapter will be participating in Habitat for Humanity, and we are looking for volunteers to help out! Help give children and families in Canada in urgent need of safe, affordable homes a fresh start.

3. Under Group Volunteering, pick Join Your Group, and search for ASHRAE Northern Alberta Chapter (or use this link after you've completed your individual registration: http://bit.ly/23ImgfL)

Habitat for Humanity is currently building 58 homes in the neighbourhood of Laurel. Our chapter is volunteering to work construction at Carter Place in south Edmonton. Carter Place is named in honour of former US President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn. The Carters, along side of thousands of volunteers have helped us to build homes at this location for the 34th annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project. 

Here are a few points to remember for volunteers: 
-Registration deadline is May 20.
-Pay attention to the dress code in the volunteer package. Shorts and tank tops are not permitted.
-Show up on time the day of the event. If you miss the safety orientation you will not be able to participate.
-You must bring your own work gloves and water bottle.
-Lunch is provided
-You must sign up through the Habitat for Humanity link above.
